Top Three Workout Programs

top three workout programs

We all need a little extra help to move our bodies. Me especially, I often need MOTIVATION.

I have found success in the last two months with three different “programs”. Two of which are completely free, read on to see the third which I will eventually have to pay a subscription fee.

#1 – Swimming Exercises with POPSUGAR Fitness on YouTube.

We recently moved and bought our very first home! And it has a pool (a requirement of my husbands, I didn’t want a pool, and I’ve ended up embracing these workouts and using it ALL the time!)!

The move happened JUST IN TIME for SUMMER, I started to research, and I found these amazing videos of great workouts for the pool.

Anna Renderer runs you through 4-5 moves in each video and there’s five videos in the PopSugar series.

These have been a game changer for me, I usually just swim back and forth, which I do still do, but this makes me feel like pool time is much more structured for a workout. And you can change it up however you like. I have made posters, printed them, laminated them, and staples them to a wall by the pool, so we can go through them easily.

We run through all of the exercises in about 30-45 minutes, depending on how many reps we do of each move. And let me tell you, it is a WORKOUT. When you put them all together, whew, we are huffing and puffing in the pool. And I can feel it the next day. It doesn’t feel like much when you are in the pool, but boy is it working those muscles!

Here are all of the videos:

#2 – Walk @ Home with Leslie Sansone on DVD or YouTube

I lost of almost 100 pounds in 2015 (with a combination of Weight Watchers, and these Walk at Home DVDs) and these workouts helped me SO MUCH!

I am always looking for fast ways to get my steps up and my heartrate up and just moving my body extra in general. This year, in June, when I re-started with iTrackBites, I stumbled upon the Walk @ Home YouTube channel. I was so excited, how nice to have the YouTube option for a quick workout anywhere!

This is my current favorite, I can usually get between 4-5,000 steps in this simple half hour! It’s so fast! And it’s fun, the way a simple “walk” can move you all around the room in so many different ways, is amazing.

The YouTube Channel for Walk at Home has lots of snippets and walks from all of Leslie’s DVDs:

The options for your time are endless, there are 5 minute short walks, 15 minute walks, 20 minute walks, 30 minute walks, 45 minute walks, and you can adjust and make it whatever length you like depending on which walks you choose!

These have been a step saver for me, when I’m low on my steps and I’ve done all the housework and laundry, and it’s WAY TOO HOT out to actually go for a walk, I can turn one of these on and boom, step goal met, heart rate elevated, workout completed!

Highly recommend the Walk at Home YouTube Channel and DVDs!

#3 – Beachbody on Demand

I’ve know about Beachbody since 2007. Why? Well let me tell you about a little program called Hip Hop Abs by Shaun T.

SIDE NOTE: I am a SUCKER for an infomercial. Like, remember Amazing Discoveries with the host “Mike”? I watched these commercials REGULARLY.. rerun.. didn’t care, I wanted to buy it all over again! My favorite was the easy stained glass window. Gotta love YouTube and all that’s available (not my fave episode but still):

2007, I watched an infomercial online I believe and I HAD TO HAVE this program… it was called Hip Hop Abs, and I was sold, I was gonna have rock hard abs, and I’d learn to dance! I ORDERED IT!!! I was SO EXCITED TO GET IT IN THE MAIL.. all the dvds, the extra inserts, etc!

This is not the infomercial, but the intro someone recorded on their TV.. hahaha it works well enough for the purpose of this story:

So I popped in the DVD and boom, I was Hip Hop Abbing with Shaun T! I did one of the easier videos a couple of times, and then life happened, I went back to work, and I forgot about my beloved hip hop abs!

Fast forward a few years to a friend of mine posting about workouts called Insanity. I looked it up, Beachbody.

Fast forward to 2019 – I signed up for Beachbody, but only did the free trial and only did one workout.

Fast forward to 2020 – my friend and sister posting regularly about Beachbody. I’ve been in a couple mini groups of my friends, and last week I finally decided to sign up again. I used the 2 week free trial to be sure I would commit to at least one of the programs.

I’ve been working on 21 Day Fix Real Time, I’ve successfully completed Days 1-10! This is huge for me! This isn’t just the walking work out, there are weights involved, pilates, yoga, all things I’m not super comfortable with! I did my first yoga and pilates, and I hated every second, BUT I DID IT!

I plan on finishing this program, going to 21 Day Fix Extreme Real Time, and then after that, I’m thinking either 80 Day Obsession, or Liift4, or Insanity (because it’s my Shaun T!)

I planned on doing the 3 month billing option for $39.00 and if I can committ, in three months, I will go ahead and sign up for a year for $99.00.

In addition to the workouts, every program has digital content: calendars, nutrition tips, calorie calculations, food lists, trackers, the list goes on and on. The digital content is VERY full!

I get absolutely nothing from you signing up, i have no affiliate link for Beachbody, I am just sharing what has helped me jump start my weight loss again!

That’s it!

I hope you like my top three workout programs. These three things have really helped me get more motivation and movement in my life!
